Labour Leadership – Where do they stand on family issues?

The Labour Party is currently in the process of choosing a new leader. We thought you might be interested to see where they stand on important family issues such as same-sex marriage, euthanasia, the anti-smacking law, abortion, marijuana, and many more.

The decriminalisation of euthanasia, abortion and marijuana, plus a review of the anti-smacking law, and attempts to further weaken the role of marriage and parents are all likely to be on the political agenda in the next couple of years. Will the next leader (and possibly the next Prime Minister) have the right values to protect families and life?

Make your own judgement based on the information below. (Click on the image to download a full-page version.) You may not have voting rights for this decision, but you may be able to inform and influence others who do. NZ needs strong moral leadership on both sides of the political divide!

UPDATE: Nanaia Mahuta has confirmed that she supports decriminalisation of abortion 🙁
