A lot of people believe that as a centre right party, ACT would be a social conservative party. Aren’t people on the centre right labelled as conservatives? Well, generally they are. But while ACT are fiscal conservatives wanting less government, lower government spending and more accountability (which is a good thing), they are definitely not social conservatives. And that was confirmed at the weekend. They’re about as socially conservative as a left-wing party, and actually don’t like your values.
