Professor Theo Boer is a Professor of Health Care Ethics at the Protestant Theological University in Groningen; Member of the Dutch Health Council; and a former member of a regional euthanasia review committee. He joins Simon O’Connor from Family First to discuss the Netherland’s experience of euthanasia and to discuss how it has moved from being about relieving suffering to now an issue of justice, therefore open to many more people. They discuss the problems within current practices and what New Zealand needs to watch out for as it looks to review and expand the law.
