TRANSCRIPT:

Hello friends, welcome to PulsePoint. In this episode…
-NZ schools caught out indoctrinating students to be activists.
– Violence aimed at Christians increases… as a priest is stabbed during mass.
– Vanuatu bans gay marriage.
-And… an Abortionist describes unwanted pregnancy as “an illness”.

This and much more to come.
Let’s get into it…I’m James Williams.

1.
Concerned Kiwi parents have reached out to the government about public schools overstepping the mark by indoctrinating their children.
Last week, ACT Party leader David Seymour publicly denounced numerous schools involved in pressuring students to take part in the recent treaty principle bill protests, even organising the buses to get them there.
He says all schools must be politically neutral.
David Seymour says “schools are funded by all of us to equip young people with the knowledge to face the world with an intelligent and open mind. The school system should never be weaponised for indoctrination or to prop up one side of a political debate.
David Seymour has encouraged concerned parents to write to their school board reminding them of these obligations under the public service’s Integrity and Conduct standards.
One disgruntled parent posted this video to X saying that their children were forced on Friday to take part in this.

Let me make this clear, this story is not about taking sides in relation to the treaty principles protests. And we are going to park that to one side now.
Indoctrination in our schools is a big problem. We’ve been talking about this for years…and it seems that no one in the Beehive has the guts to truly rip the woke out of our schooling system. If David Seymour is so concerned about political neutrality in schools and getting rid of indoctrination, heyhey, we’ve got some bigger issues for him to get his teeth into…

Outside of your usual school subjects, for example, Maths, English and Science… Family First would argue the need for parental choice – without coercion from activist teachers.
For example… if you choose to send your child to a Christian based school….you know they will encounter religious education. That was your choice as a parent.
And while we are not holding our breathe…wouldn’t it have been lovely for one of our political parties to publicly call out Pride Week in schools as indoctrination as well. Because it is.
David Seymour has called on parents to fight back against indoctrination at our public schools.
So let’s take him up on that, and write to school boards reminding them of their obligations… and then voting accordingly when it comes to their re-election.
It’s time to get woke out of our schools.

2.
Violence towards Christians, and in particular church leaders, continues at an alarming rate around the world.
In its report released last week, The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe, showed that 2,444 known anti-Christian hate crimes were documented by police and civil society in 35 European countries in 2023.
European countries of particular concern were;
– France, with nearly 1,000 anti-Christian hate crimes in 2023.
– The United Kingdom, where incidents rose to more than 700.
– And Germany, which saw a 105% increase in anti-Christian hate crimes, rising from 135 in 2022 to 277 in 2023.
And it’s not only in Europe.
Earlier this month a Catholic Priest in Singapore was stabbed in the head while distributing Holy Communion.
Here is some footage from Singapore news media.

Other attacks just this month include… when a group of people entered a Catholic Church in Italy and started pepper spraying attendees faces at Sunday mass, while a nun was punched in the face at a church in Rome.
A bit closer to home, you will remember in April this year, Christian Assyrian Orthodox Bishop, Mar Mari Emmanuel, was conducting a service in Sydney, Australia when he was stabbed. This from 9 News.

It’s not only physical assaults.
In Canada, places of worship are being burned to the ground at an alarming rate.
So much so, the Conservative Party, had a bill lodged in Parliament, the Anti-Arson Act, which would see tougher penalties for offenders.
MP Marc Dalton posted this on social media.

I could go on for much longer… as this is happening right around the world. Unbelievably, in some places it is even much worse.

3.
Vanuatu’s government has passed a law to ban gay marriage.
As reported in Vanuatu’s Daily Post, the Marriage Act Amendment which was passed last week clarifies that marriage is the union of a male and female.
Minister of Internal Affairs, Andrew Napuat, says that the law means that same sex marriage cannot be registered by law in Vanuatu.
He says if any marriage celebrant conducts a ceremony that does not follow the spirit of the law and seeks registration, his or her license will be revoked.
The minister says let this serve as a notice that the government has decided: marriage is defined as being between a male and a female.

4.
An abortionist, commonly known as America’s Abortion Doctor, has labelled an unwanted pregnancy as an “illness and a medical problem”.
Dr Warren Hern is best known for performing late term abortions and once told the US Association of Planned Parenthood Physicians that “The sensations of dismemberment flow through the forceps like an electric current.”
Here is a segment of his interview with Skeptic Magazine publisher Michael Shermer.

5.
Meanwhile, concern continues to grow in pro-life circles in the US… after president-elect, Donald Trump, nominated pro-abortion advocate Robert F Kennedy Junior to lead the US Department of Health and Human Services.
Former Vice President, Mike Pence, has reposted comments he made to Advancing American Freedom on his X page.
He says RFK Junior has defended abortion on demand during all 9 months of pregnancy plus supports overturning the Dobbs supreme court decision.
Mike Pence is urging the senate republicans to reject the nomination.
He says the American people need a health service leader who will respect the sanctity of life.

6.
And finally,
There has been a 27% increase in extended families living together in New Zealand.
Census data from 2023 was released recently showing that nearly 128,000 households fit the criteria. 58% of those households had three or more generations under the same roof.
Meanwhile, more than 100,000 households, or around 1 in 16, experienced crowded living conditions.
Gisborne had the worst result for overcrowded households, followed by Auckland and the Hawkes Bay.
Statistics New Zealand says that crowding occurs when a dwelling is too small for the number of people living in the household. It can be measured in different ways, such as the number of people per room or bedroom.
