MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ – Wanna Buy A Vowel?

We have the Greens. The Canadians have Leah Gazan – and the New Democratic Party. She recently drew gales of mockery for showing just how woke she is — by casually dropping the acronym MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ while speaking at a live press conference. But she is a member of the New Democratic Party (NDP). They held their conference recently – and boy, was it a doozy. The Olympics of victimhood. Take a watch…

You’ve gotta feel sorry for the Canadians.

Not just because they had Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister and now Mark Carney; not just because they have radical euthanasia and abortion laws; not just because they have radical hate speech laws and ‘conversion therapy’ laws and gender confusion to the extreme – actually they’re sounding more and more like NZ eh! – but there is a competition to looneyville. Especially amongst their politicians.

We have the Greens and Tamatha, Benjamin, Elizabeth Kerekere, Chloe and Marama. Don’t mention Te Pati Maori.

The Canadians have Leah Gazan – and the New Democratic Party.

It’s going to be a competition to be the most woke.

Leah Gazan is a Canadian politician. A member of the Canadian New Democratic Party (NDP), she was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2019 Canadian federal election, serving as the member of Parliament (MP) for Winnipeg Centre.

Gazan identifies as a socialist. She introduced one private member’s bill respecting a Climate Emergency Action Framework.

In 2020, Gazan introduced Motion 46 in the House of Commons of Canada, which would convert the Canada Emergency Response Benefit introduced by the federal government during the COVID-19 pandemic into a permanent basic income programme.

In 2022, Gazan faced controversy for a tweet about U.S. aid to Ukraine during the Russia-Ukraine war, incorrectly stating the aid was being sent to “anti-Semitic, neo-Nazi & fascist militia”. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress asked for a retraction and apology.

Now before we check out what went viral from both Leah Gazan and also the New Democratic Party, let me just fill you in on the party.

I could basically sum it up in 2 words.

Green Party.

Think NZ Green Party.

But just to confirm that….

As of 2026, it is the fourth-largest party in the House of Commons, with six seats… The NDP has never won the largest share of seats at the federal level and thus has never formed a government. From 2011 to 2015, it formed the Official Opposition; apart from this, it has been the third or fourth-largest party in the House of Commons… At the 2025 federal election, the NDP has suffered its worst seat result in its history, losing 17 of their 24 seats to both Liberal and Conservative candidates

If you’re wondering about their polices, once again, just think socialism and the Greens.

Give credit to the Canadians that they seem to have finally figured out just how damaging the party would be if it had any power.

Hopefully the same happens in NZ.

So to last week.

According to the New York Post

Take a deep breath …

A socialist Canadian lawmaker drew gales of mockery for showing just how woke she is — by casually dropping the acronym MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ while speaking at a live press conference.

Leah Gazan, 53, uncorked the new ultra-lefty term while bemoaning $7 billion in budget cuts to a pair of federal indigenous departments.

Have a watch

The 16-characters in MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ stand for “Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual,” with the plus-sign encompassing any other gender-identity not covered by the nearly paragraph-long initialism. The gigantically long acronym is used by the Canadian government to highlight rates of violence against Indigenous women and girls.

Gazan, whose X handle is “Leah ProudLakota (she/her),” later took to X to tout her appearance at the press conference,

So apparently missing and murdered Indigenous women (bet they can’t even define that word) and girls are defined by their sexuality and gender identity and preferences. Even though they are tragically …. not alive. And of course there’s no reference to murdered men and boys – and even more inconveniently, WHO did the murdering. Don’t even go there.

You’ll note that later in her speech she scales back the alphabet soup. Did she forget part of the mantra?

But it is based on an official government document. Here it is…

The British Columbia MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ National Action Plan

So it is primarily used in Canada – but expect it to catch on here – if the Greens and others on the radical left get hold of the idea.

It isn’t the first time Canada has gone viral for making up a mouthful of an acronym to represent the gay and queer community.

In 2017, the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario went viral for a flyer advertising a “LGGBDTTTIQQAAPP” inclusiveness training session.

According to Fox News at the time, it triggered a lot of mockery of the seemingly ever growing LGBTQ acronym. But leaders of the group said they were trying to be a bit tongue-in-cheek. Their intent was to attract workshop participants by letting teachers know it can be overwhelming keeping track of diverse identities.

Ya think?

But it doesn’t stop there. It reminded me about all the chatter around the New Democratic Party (NDP) about a month ago.

They held their conference – and boy, was it a doozy.

According to the LifeSite news report

The New Democratic Party’s March 27-29 convention in Winnipeg came at a historic low point for the once-proud standard-bearer of Canadian progressivism — a mere six MPs in the House of Commons, a whopping $13 million in debt, and rock-bottom polling numbers. Members hoped to both elect a leader and draw the eyes of the country to their party. And, boy, did they ever.

Video after video coming out of the NDP convention went viral not just in Canada but internationally as members came up to the microphones to speak, waving official “equity cards” that marked their status as members of “equity-seeking groups,” which according to the party are “racialized members,” indigenous members, “2SLGBTQ+ community” members, people with disabilities, and women/”non-cis men.”

Each member that matched one of these categories received a color-coded card at registration that allowed them to be prioritized at the mics during debates. Some members, of course, had overlapping identities and thus had more than one card, and this led to squabbling and rebukes in an SNL-style Oppression Olympics.

The convention was chaired by Adrienne Smith, a Vancouver activist and lawyer who identifies as “non-binary” and at one point rebuked a keffiyeh-wearing speaker who referred to Smith as “madame” for “misgendering”:

Then another speaker who wasn’t treated with enough victimhood with their equity cards. Listen to all the intersectionality in this – and the accidental reference to being straight….

Then a point of privilege

So basically if you ‘identified’ as anything other than a man who’s white, you get to the front of the line.

The Olympics of victimhood.

Another point of privilege

These clips have been posted by Alex Zoltan

One of the contenders for leadership Union activist and NDP leadership candidate Rob Ashton suggested they “eat the damn rich” to thunderous applause at the party’s convention.

I mean this almost makes the Greens in NZ look kinda normal.

Okay – just kidding.

Apparently the convention chair, opened the event on day one by sharing an email address, [email protected], where conference attendees were told to immediately file a report if they felt they were the victims of discrimination or harassment on the basis of any protected characteristics, such as their gender identity, and “anti-harassment officer” would “follow up directly to provide support.”

Back in 2023, members of the Ontario Legislative Assembly pushed a bill that would create “2SLGBTQI+ Community Safety Zones” where “offensive remarks” about LGBT people would be prohibited within 100 meters and could lead to a fine of up to $25,000. The Protecting 2SLGBTQI+ Communities Act was proposed by Kristyn Wong-Tam, who is a member of – wait it for – you guessed it – a New Democratic Party (NDP).

Yes – those are two drag queens speaking by a sign “Protect 2SLGBTQI+”  – the video went viral because it dilutes the real problem of Indigenous women.

Canada are also struggling to define what a woman is. Even though they want to protect the indigenous ones.

As I said, thankfully Canadians are starting to figure out just how looney-tunes this party, its MPs and the radical sexuality & gender ideology are.

Hopefully New Zealanders will reach the same conclusion – very soon.
