Solid Ground – 4 June 2026

In this episode of Solid Ground, Simon notes the institutional neutrality of Otago University has been undermined by the Vice Chancellor taking a strong view on the ‘what is a woman’ question – notably saying he doesn’t know what a woman is, and by his letter implicitly telling everyone at the university that only one view is acceptable.

He also discusses the new Catholic schools’ curriculum, noting it full of pagan concepts and political ideas that should have no place in Catholic education. He encourages viewers who have kids or grand children in such schools, to challenge the principal and Bishops around this.

Simon then turns to overseas, and makes comments on the horrific murder of 18 year old Henry Nowak in the United Kingdom. Henry was stabbed multiple times and telling police he couldn’t breath, yet police not only believed the race-based lies of his murderer but arrested and handcuffed Henry. It is a horrifying story but shows an institutional rot in the UK, largely based around progressive ideologies.
