Solid Ground – 21 July 2026

In this episode of Solid Ground, Simon returns after a few weeks break. He shares a range of good news stories from around the world. Australian psychiatrist Jillian Spencer has won her fight against Queensland Children’s hospital, the latter who tried to silence Jillian’s concerns around treatment of children experiencing gender dysphoria. Simon reminds viewers than Jillian, along with Andrew Amos (another psychiatrist), is coming to the Forum on the Family in September. Simon also discusses a win for Bernard Randall, an Anglican priest in the UK, and JK Rowling’s success in pushing back against Amnesty International.

He also notes a few challenges though, from France passing euthanasia laws to Finnish MP, Päivi Räsänen, being denied entry to the UK because her views on marriage.

Simon ends by highlighting how RNZ mischievously tries to frame a political story.
