In this episode of Solid Ground, Simon questions why the government has u-turned on removing climate change from the school curriculum; discusses a poll showing a large majority of New Zealanders only want citizens to vote; and highlights a significant court case overseas where Meta is being accused of harmfully targeting young people.
Simon also highlights once again that the Labour government of the day, and health leaders, ignored advice around giving young people two covid vaccinations. He points to fresh research that over 300,000 young people are impacted by this decision, and yet no-one, including Chris Hipkins, is taking responsibility.
The show ends with a discussion of an All Black supposedly feeling shame for something he had nothing to do with, but as Simon notes, is a sign of how deep critical theory has embedded into society.
