Solid Ground – 10 September 2026

In this episode of Solid Ground, Simon reminds viewers that today is the one year anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s assassination and talks about the impact his death has had on many people, particularly the youth. He then discusses the Lindsay Clancy case, noting the absurd comments from some jurors including those who want her fully exonerated despite killing her three children.

Simon also discusses the Green Party’s nationalising supermarkets idea, media deliberately mis-reporting about Trump and his whereabouts on 9/11, and questions how people can really get the New Zealand and Australian flag mixed up.

The show ends with Simon highlighting a new group working to increase the youth vote. While applauding their intentions, he notes media have done no due diligence because the supposed ‘non partisan’ group are all climate change and social justice aligned, with some receiving funds from ratepayers.
