He leaves the in-depth discussion for Political Playback with Bob (Thursday, 5pm), but also notes some of the other political news – from Chloe Swarbrick wanting to be Deputy PM to GPs unhappy with Labour’s free visit policy.
He then switches to the US Midterms, noting the results are no surprise nor the reason for the change in votes. The show ends with a rather funny picture coming out of the election campaign in New Zealand, with Simon wondering how this political leader’s team missed the risk.
