This week, we celebrated the 100th episode of our flagship show, StraightTalk. In a media landscape dominated by ideological narratives where progressive ideas often overshadow traditional values, StraightTalk has endeavoured to be a refreshing voice that is unashamedly and unapologetically socially conservative. Now, with its 100th episode, the show marks a milestone worth celebrating: a testament to God’s grace and faithfulness, and Bob’s courageous leadership in bringing these conversations into the public square. StraightTalk speaks truth boldly in a culture drifting further from its Christian heritage, and where cancel culture replaces honest and respectful debate and discussion.
Launched three years ago, StraightTalk has tackled social and cultural issues that most mainstream outlets avoid — from abortion, euthanasia, decriminalising and legalising cannabis, gender ideology, parental rights, freedom of speech and religion, to faith. Each episode features bold and spirited individuals who share a commitment to socially conservative values. Every panellist has brought and continues to bring a unique perspective and their own flavor to weekly conversations – engaging with conviction, honesty, respect, and grace, offering clarity in a time of confusion.
In an era where common sense appears to be the exception and progressive agendas dominate cultural wars and social debates, StraightTalk remains unafraid to challenge the cultural drift. It provides a platform for the social conservative voice – not only to defend conservative and Christian values, but also to celebrate them. And truth is also spoken with both conviction and compassion.
This milestone marks more than just a production achievement. It signals a movement of everyday Kiwis who still believe in faith, family, and freedom, and who refuse to be silenced. As Straight Talk looks ahead to its next 100 episodes, Family First NZ continues to advocate for and champion families, and Straight Talk remains a powerful reminder that even in a noisy culture, truth cannot be silenced.
