Bilton Truth: Screentime on Young Minds

Why are Gen Z the first generation since the 1800s that aren’t smarter than their parents? The experts say it’s because they are learning using tech and not connecting with real people. What can we do about that? And what about before they even get to school? Let’s give young minds the best possible chance to reach their potential. Samuel discusses how we can.

Bilton Truth_ What has driven us to this_

[00:00:00] Perhaps the most shocking detail of the latest attempt on President Trump’s life was that no one was even really that surprised. There were people inside the ballroom who didn’t even take a break from eating their dinner. This was actually Dana White’s response, who’s the president of the UFC. He was absolutely buzzing after the attempted assassination.

Inside, they started, uh, all of a sudden it just started getting noisy, tables getting flipped over, guys running in with guns, and, uh, they were screaming, “Get down.” I didn’t get down. It was awesome. I literally took every minute of it in and, and, uh, it w- it was a pretty, pretty crazy, unique experience. So you were on the aisle?

What exact- what exactly did you see? I was sitting, we were sitting right in front of the table. Okay. Right in front of where the president was. Right in front of the table, yeah. Right. And what exactly happened? So someone got tackled or like what? Nobody got tackled, but guys came in looking for shooters, and they came toward our table.

I thought the shooter was over by us or something. So Dana was kinda loving it, and it’s a bit easy for us to take a light-hearted approach to this because no one was [00:01:00] killed, and the failed assassin, who was a school teacher, is now in custody and I doubt will ever see the light of day again. His name is Cole Thomas Allen.

This is him right here. Now, he checked in as a guest, obviously with the premeditated plan of trying to end the life of Trump and a number of other people in Trump’s administration. So here was the security footage of the event. You’ll see him running from the left-hand side of the screen to the right-hand side.

He has a shotgun, a pistol, a number of knives. One Secret Service agent was shot, although he survived due to his protective vest. Cole was then shot at and brought down and brought into custody. So thankfully no one was killed, but this can now be added to the list of legitimate attempts on Trump’s life, starting back in 2016 with Michael Stanford, who tried to grab a police officer’s gun to shoot Trump in Las Vegas.

Of course, Thomas Crooks on the slope roof of Pennsylvania, where Trump was saved by the turning of his head at just the right moment. Ryan Routh with a sniper’s nest at the Floriada Golf Course, who’s since been sentenced to life in prison. Austin Takemoto with a shotgun, who [00:02:00] stormed into Mar-a-Lago, who was gunned down by Secret Service.

And now, of course, the attack just last weekend. And there have been other plots foiled just at earlier stages and of course the poison that’s been sent to Trump in the mail. No other president in American history has been targeted this many times. But how did we get to this point? Because I’m going to argue this isn’t only a Trump-related hatred.

There’s a growing culture across the Western world, especially among the younger generation. And this culture is saying that political violence is an acceptable strategy. And I’m not going to pretend that this is equal across the political aisle. Unfortunately, the political left continue to argue that there is justification for the taking of the life of their political opponents.

The death of Charlie Kirk by a furry-loving maniac should be fresh in our minds. And if you think this is a uniquely American issue, you’d be very mistaken. The acceptance of political violence by the left has risen here in New Zealand as well. And we’re going to take a look at that now and how we got here and how it has made its way into the thinking of [00:03:00] our own politicians here in New Zealand.

This is so important for us to be aware of. So let’s dig into it.

The acceptance of violence in the political world by the left has been on the rise first and foremost because of a fundamental difference in ideology. I’ve spoken about post-modernism before, but I will continue to do so because we need to understand that those who have subscribed to that worldview are no longer interested in civil discourse, where we can arrive at the truth of a matter through civil discussion.

But instead of that, they want to silence opposing views. If a teen or a young adult spends enough time on the internet, they’ll be bombarded with this worldview and the acceptance of violence towards conservatives and traditional values. This was Jimmy Kimmel just two days [00:04:00] before the attempt on Trump’s life last weekend.

Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Mor- so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow. And this gets a big laugh because it appeals to a concerningly large number of leftists who fantasize about the ending of the president’s life, and this type of attitude is much more widespread among the left than we’d probably want to accept or admit.

We see this in the disappointment on the left’s faces after failed attempts on Trump’s life and the celebration after the murder of Charlie Kirk last year. But the call to violence in general among people who are embraced by the left-wing media continues to be widespread online. An example of this is Hasan Piker, and here’s a little compilation of Hasan Piker’s views.

America deserved 9/11, dude. Fuck it, I’m saying it. We, we fucking totally brought it on ourselves, dude, holy sh- If you cared about Medicare fraud or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott. Well, my understanding o- is that the property owners who have properties there choose just not to rent it at all.

Yeah, [00:05:00] kill them. Kill those motherfuckers and murder those motherfuckers in the street. Let the streets, let the streets soak in their fucking red capitalist bloods. Left-wingers, liberals, you need to be- showing your opponent’s guts on there, okay? You need to be gutting them. You need to be shanking these motherf- and letting their f- letting their intestines just ride on stage.

What the f- is this shit, man? Slice him up. Regardless of your background, any kind of f- Zionist tendency should be treated in the same way as, as being a f- rabid neo-Nazi. It doesn’t matter if f- rapes happened on October 7th. Like, that doesn’t change the dynamic for me even this much. But there are baby settlers as well.

There are babies in the settlements. I can’t believe I’m calling Nasrallah baes. I mean, listen, these motherf- are better read than you by a million. Like, it’s not a, no, it’s not a broken clock situation. He’s read more books than you could ever imagine. And [00:06:00] also, ultimately, he is regarded as a pretty brilliant, uh, uh, person in terms of, like, everything that he’s done.

And there is plenty more where that came from. I saw a clip of him saying that someone needs to do it, to which the audience clapped and applauded, referring to the taking of the life of President Trump. And he also said in that same speech that there is huge untapped revolutionary potential. Now, these are not views that can harmonize within the Western world.

They will continue to empower and encourage people to commit acts of violence. And these views just rip through online culture and affect so many young people. John Wilkes Booth, if you can hear us, if you are with us, please, please- They always look like this, don’t they? John Wilkes Booth, if you’re, if you’re listening, please.

Let me get this, let me get this straight. Dumbass! You have a fully reloaded shotgun, but you chose to use- Demons … a one-bullet- We’re not even sending our best to f- [00:07:00] assassinate, ’cause what the hell was that? Lee Harvey Oswald would never, bitch. John Wilkes Booth would never. Wow. Today was, like, this close to being the best day ever.

Yesterday was such a shitty f- day. The president didn’t die again. Maggie, her heart broken again. Why do they keep missing? Again, bull nosering. They got the look we all know. Right, I think that’s enough of that, but there are plenty more where that came from as well. And this isn’t just an international issue.

I’m sure many of you are horrified by the reaction of people around you who said that Charlie Kirk, he had it coming. That was definitely the sentiment from Green Party candidate McKel, who goes by the name Bloody Samoan on Instagram. He posted this image last year after the tragic death of Charlie Kirk.

He said Charlie Kirk died as he lived talking out the [00:08:00] side of his neck and he posted this image. It was since deleted after a media request that was sent to the Greens. Now, of course, it is completely inappropriate for anyone who expresses celebration of a politically motivated assassination to be part of a political party in New Zealand.

That should be the standard even for the Greens to uphold. But unfortunately, it’s not, and they don’t, and they wouldn’t say that out loud, but all the evidence points to them ultimately taking no issue with this post about Charlie Kirk other than needing to do some damage control after the fact now that he’s gonna be associated with them.

And here are some other unsavory comments by Mikkel and what Marama Davidson from the Green Party had to say about them in response. Marama, I just want to play for you a clip from the Green Party’s Māngere candidate. At David Seymour’s celebratory brunch in Ōrākei, a few of us were there to remind him of how much of a piece of he is.

They call David Seymour a piece of . Police are referred to as [00:09:00] pigs and C-words. Have you seen this and are you concerned by it? I think you sent it to me, Ryan. I want to be really clear that Mikkel is a known strong advocate and outspoken member of the communities who have been- So it’s justified, okay

just, I’m just gonna have my bit. Who have been underserved for decades and he is known for exposing racism, discrimination, injustice that continue to keep his networks, his communities under harm and under scrutiny and targeted. And so- Sounds familiar … we have known for some time that that is actually the lived experience and the passion that he brings as an independent person and an artist to- An artist?

you know, standing up for people who have been trampled on for so long. Well, it’s extraordinary. The Green Party believes that that kind of behaviour is okay, and what’s more, it’s justified if you feel that you are disadvantaged politically. Hang on, David, were you offended being called a piece of ? No, I just think it reflects very badly on the person.

It’s not the best traditions of our democracy. And there’s another thing that’s coming out of what Marama’s [00:10:00] saying. Disadvantaged people somehow have lower standards and want more abusive language. Uh, that’s absolutely disgraceful. Oh, let’s not pretend lower standard language is contained to any one group of people.

You should hear this place after the cameras are off. Wow Now, I have to say David’s not wrong here. You can see Marama Davidson employing some critical theory tactics to excuse the behavior of this political party candidate, saying while he is in the oppressed category, therefore he’s allowed to carry on like that and use that type of language towards our police force, towards other political party members.

And now you have this TikTok and streamer-type behavior infiltrating into our very parliament, and instead of being condemned by our political parties, they are actually welcomed to potentially be a part of them. Now, this is happening not just on social media, but even in the mainstream media, this type of aggressive attitude towards political opponents.

And who could forget this moment on our mainstream media not that long ago? Okay, Donald Trump’s here. So let’s, l- [00:11:00] oh, let’s say Donald Trump- It doesn’t hurt … put him down there. Or I’ve got- Is that, does that have like a laser? Well, I don’t, no, well, I’m just- I’m going out the way … I’m not sure it’s actually that far.

I feel like there needs to be a laser on this thing. Or do, okay. Well, this is, this is- Oh. Hey. Got him. That was huge. I can’t believe it. We gotta- Yeah … get rid of these guys. They’re coming into our country. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Sorry. Put you, put you. So okay, one more, one more shot- So you can just see how much fun this- And then we, that’s the safety catch

could potentially be. Oh. And then we’re putting the bug salt away. This is, this is fun. I shouldn’t have- There you go … I shouldn’t have candle sprayed my house- There’s a lot, it’s quite salty already … before using this. Yeah. Riveting television. Good, yeah, I can’t, I can’t do the pump action. This type of light-hearted approach to political violence is truly widespread, and it’s not just through the media or perhaps more covertly in the government, but here are some studies showing that the chances are far higher that you’re comfortable with people resorting to political violence if you’re on the political left.

The Network Contagion Research Institute did a study showing those who are [00:12:00] more likely to see justification for the murder of Elon Musk or Donald Trump. And so the study showed that 38.5% of respondents said that taking the life of President Trump would be at least partially justified. 56% of them were left of center, and only 20% of those were right of center.

And another study done by YouGov shows that young liberal Americans are the most likely to disagree with the statement, “Political violence is never justified.” You can see the numbers right there in front of you on the graph. 72% of Americans say that violence is never justified, but 11 say that it can be justified, and 12 say they’re just not sure.

And if you break that down by political ideology, what you’ll find is that a quarter of very liberal Americans say that violence can be justified And only 55% say no. So it’s only a slight majority of very liberal people s- that say no violence is ever justified. And among conservatives, however, it is a very different story.

Only 6% [00:13:00] say that political violence can be justified, and 89% say no violence can ever be justified. So it’s not just anecdotal. There is a significant gap in the justification for political violence on the left and right, and we’re seeing this play out over and over again. So thank the Lord that the majority of liberals are either women or low-T men, or there would potentially be a lot less failed attempts.

Can you imagine the chaos if the acceptance of violence was in the other camp? If you know, you know. So as I said before, this is a worldview issue, one that places everyone into either oppressed or oppressor categories. And everyone that, who disagrees with this and is in the oppressor category, well, they need to be stopped, silenced, or if necessary, taken out.

And with the help of the media and the politicians and so-called academics, postmodernism has ripped through the Western world, and the left now see people as either part of one of these two groups, as I said, oppressed or oppressor. This, of course, thanks to social media, [00:14:00] is why so many young people, namely young liberal people, are far more likely to be in support of political violence.

This is a justified revolution after all. And so what exactly are these messages that are being fed to the younger generations from people that they’re meant to trust? Well, we’ve seen some of them already, but we’re gonna take a look at another one now. Look at who we have here, Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller is so racist, the reason he went bald is because his hair was black.

Stephen Miller puts the cist in white supremacist. It- he’s like if baby Hitler travelled in time to kill us. And there are so many examples like this of Trump or people close to him in his administration being called Nazis, and you wonder why you’re surprised when people go to the natural conclusion of this type of messaging.

And there he is, last weekend, Cole Lunden face down on the carpet, throwing his life away, and unfortunately, others are likely to do the same in the future, as many have done before him. And this isn’t a Trump-specific problem or even an [00:15:00] American-specific problem. The same worldview, same messaging, it’s all through our country as well, and it might show itself by a young colleague at work saying, “Good riddance,” after the death of Charlie Kirk, or even an older family member who’s watched too much mainstream media, who might say in reference to Trump, “Why can’t someone just take him out already?”

I’m sure many of you had have, have had experiences like this, and we can pass it off as dark humor, or we can see it for what it really is. It’s a very real shift in our culture that’s adopted a worldview that isn’t built on truth. It’s built on intersectionality And it does not believe in free, open, honest conversations, but instead the silencing of political opposition by any means necessary.

If you still don’t believe me, we can have this conversation again the next time someone with a screw loose has a crack at someone that they’ve been brainwashed to believe is a Nazi or causing trans genocide because they believe in the Bible and what love really is, and that it’s not affirmation of every single [00:16:00] destructive behavior that you can possibly imagine.

This is why it’s vitally important that our families, communities, and countries are built on biblical truth and not postmodernist lies and Marxist identity politics. The longer these ideas fester in our societies, the longer we will see the trend of political violence gaining wider acceptance here in the West.

The West has historically thrived because we have largely been free from such toxic ideas, and it’s important that we know that the Green Party and many other liberals here in New Zealand, it’s not just that they are obsessed with the environment, it’s that they have a worldview that is not compatible with the Western world.

And the longer that poison spreads, the greater the consequences will be. But unlike them, we will not fail to condemn political violence, and we will not use political violence. Instead, we will defeat their ideas with the truth. And so keep having conversations regardless of how much they would rather shut you up.

Much to the horror of the postmodernists, truth does exist, and it is worth building your life on. And then from [00:17:00] there, the lives of your families, and then from there, we will build a healthy nation, one that is free from political violence and one that is full of people that will not turn a blind eye to it.

Now, Erica Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, was actually at the correspondence dinner last Saturday, and she just came out yesterday and said this about this culture of accepting political violence in America and, I believe, across the Western world. Seems to me that nothing will ever be enough for the evil in this world.

Our country has become unrecognizable. These people have perverted the truth to the point that they motivated the murder of my husband. They have continuously tried to assassinate the president, and anyone who stands in their way is labeled hateful, racist, fascist, and every other trigger word that is grossly dishonest.

We want the best for our country. They don’t. And this past Saturday, it was a school teacher, of all [00:18:00] people, a school teacher that attempted to change our history for the worst with bullets. You have these people who are supposed to be teaching our children the future of this country, and he’s so unhinged that he is able to teach children by day and then attempt to murder the president of the United States by night.

And in his manifesto, he starts by contextualizing himself by saying, “I am a citizen of the United States of America.” And while we may have big problems with illegal immigration in this country, I have to tell you, we have an even bigger problem when it comes to the systemic indoctrination and radicalization of our own citizens.

This is what got my husband killed. This is what has led to three legitimate attempts on President Trump’s life. There has never been a [00:19:00] president who has faced this many assassination attempts in America’s entire history. And after each one, the reaction from the far left has been, at best, a shrug, and in some cases, a sick disappointment that the shooter was unsuccessful.

And this culture we’re living in absorbs disagreement as a form of personal betrayal. It turns having an opposing viewpoint into a moral crime worthy of punishment. And here’s what I’ve realized through all of this. Truly, having lived through quite literal hell these past seven months, if you strip someone of their humanity long enough, you will arrive at the chilling conclusion that they don’t deserve to exist at all.

Erica Kirk knows better than anybody the consequences of what happens when we allow political violence in our societies. Charlie Kirk lost his life because someone decided because of the things he said, because of his [00:20:00] political and religious views, he no longer deserved to live. People have decided the same for Trump and many others.

And as I said, this isn’t a uniquely American issue. That same type of attitude is leaking itself into New Zealand. And we need to push back not with political violence ourselves, but with the truth. That is how we build reconciliation in our families, communities and societies. And that is how we will have a healthy nation.
